This is disgusting. It's an 'ad' by North Carolina Congressional challenger Vernon Robinson which is filled with anti-gay, racist, hate-filled rhetoric this side of 1940's Germany. This WILL offend you.

The TRUTH offends only the offenders, There is nothing more to this message then facts, if you look at this message and are offended, then you have a problem with yourself. Its bben a trend that the more we take God out of our country, the worse our country seems to get. Its a message showing the truth of what we are becoming and what we as a people are accepting in to our daily lives as the norm, when we all know that what is happening is far from normal, and even farther from good. God help us, what have we become.

whats a racial quota? how are homosexuals mocking america? Because if you read some american revionist history books it turns out eveyone was gay. They just hid it well. and he didnt say what he was gonna do about illeagl aliens either. Its unclear if he said hed make them legal or just close the border. All in all this is a good politicall ad it highlights 'problems' and leaves the veiwer to fill in the answer they want....

But, as you pointed out, Vergast, no real specifics on how he intends to deal with the problems. Easy enough to point out some of the problems in society, but how would he go about solving them? Reagan legalized abortion in California when he was governor of that state. Then, when he ran for president he pretended to care about the unborn in order to get the votes of people who don't really follow politics. George Dubya also ran with an anti-abortion agenda, but then carefully reduced financial help for unwed mothers so we could pay for more killing overseas. Hmm. Oh, and did you ever notice that a lot of people who say they want the 10 Commandments in courthouses don't know the 10 Commandments? Interesting . . . Still, if this politician would elucidate his plans for achieving some of his stated objectives, he might get my vote if he were running in my district.

Homosexuality isn't threatening me, my marriage or my country. Illegal aliens & terrorists are.You can't find a politician that you can agree with 100%, but this guy is about as close as it gets for me.

I'd definitely vote for this guy. If you think that this guy's a complete right-wing, look at it again... pay attention to the format and music! Those who are offended by it either don't understand the ad, or just completely buy into all the BS that the government is feeding us. Open your eyes!

My interpretation is that he's not going to get rid of gay people, or illegal aliens, or the black movement. He's saying he wants to get rid of how we see them in our society. He's mocking what "conservative Republicans" think of the state of the nation. He wants to bring back the Bill of Rights, he supports minority rights (including gays, lesbians, illegal aliens, and people of color), and wants to get rid of the idea that terrorists are after us! OK, now that I've said it a bit more clearly for all of you, please take a second look at the ad!

Wow, provided all these comments weren't typed by the same person, I'm completely saddened at these responses. Does the man have to actually come out and say, "I am pandering to the lowest common denominator and exploiting the fears and prejudices of ignorant voters in order to get elected" for you to catch on? There were no ideas or solutions, and if you watched objectively, no real fact put forward in that ad. It was fear mongering, plain and simple. And so crassly done that I can't see how anyone would try to step up and defend it. The days of Leave it to Beaver are long gone, and for many of us, that is a good thing. There are problems in this world that we have to deal with, but voting for a guy with a world-view like this is definitely not the answer.
