2Jimbuuuuuuya: Either your IQ level is equal to your age, or you just want to show how patriotic you are - doesn't matter. You don't know the subject - that's the fact. 1) The most commonly used jet in US Navy - F-16. F-22 never really made it, because it was too expensive and wasn't really worth the expenses. F-15 is not widely used anymore, and F-14 Tomcat is not as manuverable and fast as F-16... 2) Back in the 90-s, there was a demo (test) battle between F-16 and Mig-29. In case you didn't know, the outcome wasn't really looking good for the F-16. Mig-29 won all test battles, losing - 0! 3) Mig29 concept was developed at the end of 70s, begining of 80s. The new Sukhoi series are much more advanced than the Mig29 - so, if Mig is better than F-16, that means that Su-29, 31 are even better. 4) F series you say? Like what? F-19 and F-117? LOL. Those are bombers and don't stand a chance in the air if they meet even with Mig-21 :) They didn't even stand a chance in Yougoslavia, when one of those "invisible" masterpieces was shot down by a Russian built rocket... built in the 70-s.

The best pilot in Russia flying a Su. 37 performing the Cobra, Tail Slide and other stunts and doing a great job. Pity Americans can do any stunts like this (lol)

The undercarriage of the F-16 Falcon collapses during hard landings on aircraft carriers. The F/A-18 Hornet (what the Blue Angels) is what the Navy uses on carriers because it is safer in landings. The Falcon is used primarily by the Air Force, along with the F-15 Eagle series and the F-22 Raptor now. I see all of those take off everyday from the base near my house. As far as which one is better, the SU-37 Terminator is amazing, as you can see in this video. My personal favorites are the SU-37 Terminator, the AV-8B Harrier, the F-16 and the A-10 Warthog. All of those are incredible the way they maneuver. The F-16 Falcon, with it's single engine, accelerates better than most but doesn't have the top-end speed of the twin-engine planes. Also, the Falcon tends to roll better in one direction than the other, due to engine torque. The F/A-18 Hornet is a good plane, however, it does not have a greater top speed than the F-14 Tomcat. The F-18 Hornet is much more agile, though, and top speed isn't what helps a pilot get away from attacks. Mig-29 Fulcrum is pretty nice, too. I wouldn't want to fly a Falcon or a Hornet against one.

Yes that pilot is very talented.....And that Russian Jet [SU-27?] is an amazing piece of equipment.....But most , if not all Soviet Warplane designs were copied/stolen from Western [mostly US] Military Contractors. It was one of the KGB's biggest victories over the west. [Industrial spying]

to lowprofile018: Sukhoi-27 series was designed in USSR without any western technologies.. it's a brilliant of russian ingenieur mind. This plane is very different with F-15, F-14, F-16, has another ideas and designs.

very amazing plane and pilot,sure that plane is fantastic and technologic concentrated.i think migs(even the olders)are better in dogfights than f-16-f18,but i'm not sure the su-27 is.this jet seems designed for all- round usages and not specially for fight,like the french "rafale"or f15 eagle.

as a person who works with these planes everyday, i can tell you that the most common aircraft on an aircraft carrrier is not a F-16 "HELLFIRE". its an F-18. the f-22 is not a navy plane that is correct but its not because of funding its because its an Air Force Plane. Dont try to correct people when you dont know what your talking about. Oh and yes the russian planes are pretty and fancy but when they cost so much that they are impossible to mass produce it doesnt really matter what ONE can do. A SUU series plane can out manuever most......this is true. But it doesnt matter how bad ass it is when you see that the american F-series planes out number it 1000 to 1. The best mass production plane is still the F-15 strike eagle. Dollar for Dollar that is. The F-22 is nice but they are always breaking.
